Good evening, It is Wednesday night (actually looking at the clock I see its 0030 am on Thursday) midway through week three and I have completed my blog post for the Rotary Peace Centers website (the “other blog”).
Each of us in class has a timeslot to submit an article. Mine was due and submitted on Monday and is now live on the site. Please click the link below, to read my posting and also to access further information about my class (and previous classes). There is also information about the center itself and the amazing staff here.
Spoiler alert. My article is simple a grouping of thoughts and suggestions on> “How to prepare for peace learnings? Endless optimism and practical gear and an open mind! “
This has been a busy week. I will update you all about the work and maybe a bit of our Bangkok exploration next posting. (I am going to head out to the “Floating Markets” on Saturday). It has continued to be a challenging and exciting learning opportunity!
Oh yes, I forgot to mention that I am taking Thai classes 2 morning a week with a few of my classmates . What a beautiful and complex language. I am taking it slow but I hope to have a few phrases mastered soon. Thank you to the University Students who start their day early to come out and share their knowledge of Thai with us.
ราตรีสวัสดิ์ (ratritwat= good night).
